Description

This is the first of a three-part virtual workshop that will be held on Zoom. Students can participate remotely and each part can be taken separately.

Each part consists of two blocks of two hours. Each two-hour block is divided into a lecture by our speaker as well as a presentation by one of our workshop participants.

Prof. Benjamin's current research topics include understanding errors people make in statistical reasoning; exploring how best to use survey measures of subjective well-being (such as happiness and life satisfaction) to track national well-being and evaluate policies; and identifying genetic variants associated with outcomes such as educational attainment and subjective well-being. Other ongoing work addresses how economic behavior relates to cognitive ability and social identity (ethnicity, race, gender, and religion).
