Summary of thesis

Outline:

After acquiring an exhaustive overview of the nudging literature I will extract the most promising interventions for the domain of car purchases. Tests in the laboratory and the field will reveal the effectiveness of nudges and possible moderators to the effect like decision type (rational vs. emotional), decision stage (building a choice set vs. final choice) and target group differences (e.g. political ideology, pre-intervention preferences).
